Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport. We check ID on every visit, as required by the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency. We accept cash and debit cards in store.

You must be 21 or older to shop at Quality Roots Berkley, even with a medical marijuana card, because we're a recreational dispensary. Adults 21+ from any state can shop with a valid photo ID or passport. Cannabis must stay in Michigan, though. Taking it across state lines or into Canada is illegal.

We carry options for every budget, from $5 pre-rolls to craft edibles, THC vapes, and high-quality concentrates from Michigan's top brands. Every product has passed Michigan's required lab testing, and our budtenders can help you find the best value.

Adult-use customers can buy up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis per transaction, and no more than 15 grams of that can be concentrates. Edibles, gummies, and other infused products also count toward the limit. Michigan sets no daily cap for adult-use purchases, so the limit applies per transaction.

Adult-use cannabis purchases carry a 10% excise tax and a 6% sales tax. Since January 1, 2026, Michigan has also charged a 24% wholesale tax when growers and processors sell to retailers, which can affect shelf prices. That wholesale tax is currently being challenged in court.

No. Michigan law doesn't allow cannabis use in public places, such as parks, sidewalks, and parking lots, or in a vehicle, even when parked. You can consume in a private residence or at a licensed consumption lounge. You can drive with up to 2.5 ounces, as long as it's sealed and out of the driver's reach. Never drive while impaired.
