DETROIT, Nov. 4, 2025 – Quality Roots, Michigan’s premier cannabis retailer, today announced that it is donating more than $25,000 to Metro Detroit-based nonprofits as part of its Quali-days campaign this holiday season. Jump-starting the season of giving, Quality Roots is investing $10,000 into the Berkley Holiday Lights Parade.
“Our mission has always been to lift up the community, and the local organizations making a difference in people’s lives,” said Aric Klar, CEO of Quality Roots. “It is important to us to be a strong civic partner, and we are excited to use our Quali-days campaign to give back in a meaningful way.”
Quality Roots recently presented its donation to the Berkley Holiday Lights Parade, a free event powered by donations that serves as an opportunity to come together and celebrate the season with family, friends and neighbors.
“For more than two decades, the Berkley Holiday Lights Parade has relied on the generosity of organizations like Quality Roots to provide an event that has become a cherished tradition for families in Berkley and surrounding areas” said Berkley Mayor Bridget Dean. “We are so grateful to Quality Roots and all the organizations who make this event a reality.”
Throughout the Quali-days campaign, five percent of sales from partner brands at Michigan-based Quality Roots locations will go toward additional investments into local nonprofits on Giving Tuesday, when the incentive will reach ten percent. Quality Roots expects to raise more than $15,000 throughout Quali-days.
Once the Quali-days campaign wraps up on Giving Tuesday, Quality Roots will invest proceeds into: the
- Bottomless Toy Chest, a Troy-based non-profit organization devoted to delivering empowering toys, craft projects, and interactive activities to hospitalized pediatric oncology patients. Their mission is to lift the spirits and promote a positive state of mind in young cancer patients by providing them with engaging, empowering activities while they are going through treatment.
- Forgotten Harvest, Metro Detroit’s leading food rescue nonprofit, works with more than 200 food pantries and community groups to relieve hunger. Forgotten Harvest envisions communities that work together to end hunger and increase individual, neighborhood, economic and environmental health, and is dedicated to relieving hunger and preventing nutritious food waste.
The total amount of the future Giving Tuesday investments will be announced at a later date.
This year marks the fifth consecutive year that Quality Roots has participated in its annual giving campaign. In 2021, Quality Roots participated in a holiday food drive, and in 2022 took part in a winter clothing drive.
In 2023, Quality Roots collected more than 200 toys for A Girl Like Me/The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan, as well as donated to Ribbons of Monroe, Inc.
Last year, Quality Roots donated nearly $10,000 combined to Share Detroit as well as the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
“This holiday season, we look forward to growing our impact as well as our investment into the community by donating more than $25,000 to local nonprofits,” added Klar.
